Terms of Service
Last Updated: July 12, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using FramePin (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
FramePin is a browser-based tool for turning videos into interactive step-by-step guides ("widgets"), annotated videos, PDFs, and screenshots, provided "as is" and "as available." Editing runs locally in your browser. Publishing a widget is optional and uploads the generated step videos and widget configuration to our content delivery network so the widget can be embedded and shared.
3. Accounts, Free Trial & Plans
- No account needed to edit: Importing, editing, and PDF/screenshot export work without registration.
- Account features: Publishing widgets, MP4 export, and AI voice-over generation require an account.
- Free trial: New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with Basic-plan limits. No payment method is required and nothing is charged automatically. When the trial ends, account features pause until you upgrade to a paid plan.
- Plans and limits: Subscription plans and their limits (widget projects, AI voice-over characters, publish rate limits) are described on the pricing page and may change; prices will always be shown before any purchase.
4. User Content, Ownership & Published Widgets
- Ownership: You retain full ownership and all intellectual property rights to any materials (video, audio, images) you use in FramePin and any results generated or exported from the Service.
- Hosting license: When you publish a widget, you grant us a non-exclusive license to store, reproduce, and deliver the published content, solely to operate the Service. Published widgets are publicly accessible to anyone with the link or with access to a page that embeds them. Unpublishing or deleting a widget removes it from delivery.
- Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you process and publish, including having the necessary rights to all recorded material and to any personal data visible in it.
5. Acceptable Use & Takedown
- Acceptable use: You may not publish content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, or malicious, and you may not abuse the Service's quotas, infrastructure, or other users.
- Enforcement: We may unpublish content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
- Reporting: To report infringing or abusive published content, use the "Contact Founder" link on this site. We review reports and remove content where appropriate; repeat infringers may be terminated.
6. Fees and Payments
The editor is free to use without an account. Paid subscription plans for publishing and AI voice-over quotas are planned; until payments launch, plans are not purchasable and active trials will not be cut off before you are given the chance to upgrade. Any changes to the pricing model will be reflected in these Terms and on the pricing page.
7. Limitation of Liability
- "As Is" Basis: The Service is provided without any warranties, express or implied.
- No Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oleksandr Pustovalov (the developer) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, video export errors, or technical glitches.
- Service Availability: We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of FramePin after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
