Privacy Policy

1. Local Processing & Editing
FramePin's editor is designed to be a "client-side" application.
- Local Storage: All video files, audio, and project data you import are stored exclusively in your browser’s local storage (Origin Private File System (OPFS) and IndexedDB).
- Local Rendering: Editing, MP4 export, PDF export, and screenshot export all run locally on your device. Your source video is never uploaded while you edit.
2. What Is Uploaded When You Publish
Publishing a widget is optional and is the only action that uploads media.
- Published content: The generated step videos and the widget configuration (step titles, styling, settings) are uploaded to our content delivery network.
- Public availability: Published widgets are publicly accessible to anyone with the widget link or a page that embeds it. Unpublishing or deleting a widget removes this content from delivery.
3. Accounts
No registration or personal information is required for editing and PDF/screenshot export. Creating an account (needed for publishing, MP4 export, and AI voice-over) requires an email address, which we use for sign-in, plan status, and usage quotas. We do not sell personal data.
4. AI Voice-Over
When you generate a voice-over, the text you typed for the step is sent to our cloud text-to-speech provider (Amazon Web Services) to synthesize the audio, and the number of characters is counted against your monthly quota. The text is not used by us to train any models.
5. Widget View Statistics
Published widgets report anonymous, cookieless view statistics so widget owners can see views and unique visitors.
- No identifiers on viewers: No cookies or identifiers are stored in a viewer's browser.
- Anonymous counting: Unique visitors are estimated with a daily-rotating anonymized hash; raw IP addresses and browser details are never stored.
6. Website Analytics & Third-Party Services
This website uses anonymized analytics (Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used; analytics never has access to your video content. Third-party components (such as fonts) may collect data according to their own privacy policies.
7. Data Security & Deletion
While project data stays in your browser, the security of your device and browser is your responsibility. Clearing your browser cache or data may result in the permanent loss of your projects. To delete your account and any published content, unpublish your widgets in the dashboard or use the "Contact Founder" link on this site.
