Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 10, 2026
1. Who Is Responsible
FramePin is operated by Oleksandr Georgiiovych Pustovalov, a Ukrainian individual entrepreneur (FOP). For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact support@framepin.com.
2. Local Editing and Storage
FramePin is designed so imported source videos, audio, and project data remain in your browser's local storage, including OPFS and IndexedDB. Editing and MP4, PDF, and screenshot rendering run locally. We do not upload your source recording merely because you import or edit it. If you choose to publish a PDF and screenshots with a guide, FramePin uploads those generated files, not the original recording. Clearing browser data can permanently delete locally stored projects.
3. Information We Process
- Account data: Name, email address, authentication records, account creation date, and security-related metadata.
- Service data: Plan, trial and subscription status, usage limits, publish counts, VoiceOver credit balance, support history, and identifiers needed to reconcile billing.
- Published content: Generated step media, guide configuration, titles, styling, and settings that you choose to publish, plus a generated guide PDF and per-step screenshots when you include them on an eligible plan.
- Voice generation: Text submitted for narration and the generated audio. We also count characters to apply your credit balance.
- Technical data: Request logs, error and security information, device/browser information, and approximate network information needed to operate and protect the Service.
- Payment information: Transaction, product, amount, currency, customer, subscription, refund, and charge-status information received from our payment provider. FramePin does not receive or store complete card numbers or card security codes.
4. Publishing and Public Availability
Publishing is optional. Published guides are available to anyone with the share link or access to a page where the guide is embedded. Generated step media and any hosted PDFs or screenshots are also public to anyone with their direct URLs. When account access expires, the interactive guide player is blocked, but direct CDN files may remain reachable during the retention period described below. Unpublishing removes the hosted files, although CDN caches may retain them briefly. Search engines or third parties may retain copies that were made while content was public.
5. How We Use Information
We process information to create and secure accounts; provide publishing, exports, voice generation, statistics, subscriptions, and support; fulfill purchases; prevent fraud and abuse; diagnose failures; comply with legal obligations; and improve FramePin. Depending on the context, processing is necessary to perform our contract, pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, comply with law, or act on your consent.
6. Service Providers and International Processing
- Amazon Web Services: Account authentication, application hosting, databases, operational email, and text-to-speech generation.
- Cloudflare: R2 object storage and content delivery for published guide media, guide configuration, player assets, and any hosted guide PDFs and screenshots. Cloudflare may process request and network information when storing, securing, and delivering this content.
- Creem / Armitage Labs OĆ: Checkout, payment processing, merchant-of-record services, taxes, receipts, subscriptions, refunds, and payment-related fraud prevention. Creem processes checkout information under its own Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics: Marketing-site usage measurement. Google may process device, browser, interaction, cookie, and approximate-location information under its own terms and privacy controls.
These providers may process information outside your country. We use providers and safeguards appropriate to the service and applicable legal requirements.
7. Widget Statistics
Published widgets collect cookieless aggregate usage statistics. Unique visitors are estimated using a daily-rotating anonymized hash; raw IP addresses and browser details are not stored in the widget-statistics record. Pro guides can also count how many viewing sessions reached each step. We do not store a per-viewer path or replay history.
8. Cookies and Marketing-Site Analytics
The FramePin editor uses browser storage for projects, preferences, authentication, and core functionality. The public marketing site uses Google Analytics, which may use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits and interactions. Analytics does not receive your locally stored source video or project media.
9. Retention and Deletion
We retain account and hosted content while needed to provide FramePin. When trial or paid access expires, hosted guide files are retained for 30 days so the guide can be restored if eligible access is activated during that period. The files are permanently deleted after the retention period and may remain reachable through direct CDN URLs until deletion. Operational logs are retained for a limited period appropriate to security and troubleshooting. Billing, fraud-prevention, tax, refund, and dispute records may be retained for the period required by law or legitimate financial-recordkeeping needs. You can unpublish individual guides in FramePin or request account deletion at support@framepin.com. Deletion does not affect projects stored only in your browser and may not immediately remove encrypted backups.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to processing of your personal information, and may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Email support@framepin.com from your account address so we can verify and fulfill the request. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority.
11. Security, Children, and Changes
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service is completely secure. FramePin is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent to the processing of their information. We may update this Policy and will publish the new date here; material changes apply prospectively.
